Strawberry Daiquiris take me back to my first trip to Hawaii when I was 13 years old…don’t fret- it was a mocktail of course, but it sure became one of my all time favorite drinks even until this day. It is a slushie of fruity goodness and one daiquiri always has you wanting more.
When it is spring season and the farms begin to have U-pick strawberry days, I always get excited to use the berries I pick to make a strawberry smoothie or daiquiri. I will freeze any strawberries I don’t use (before they rot) and toss them in a blender a few months later during the hot summer months to make this refreshing beverage. The red color makes it a perfect drink to make for the 4th of July too!
How to make your daiquiri a mocktail
Hold the alcohol! Instead, add a splash of lemon lime soda, Sprite, or Squirt to make your daiquiri a little more interesting and perky!
Make your Daiquiri exciting
If you are drinking a daiquiri, take it to the next feel and mentally transport yourself to a tropical island while sipping on it. Garnish it with a colorful paper umbrella, add a few edible flowers, or create a fruit kabob to toss in.
