Cinnamon is one of my favorite ingredients to use – whether it be in smoothies, pastries, or bread. When I am craving a cinnamon roll, this cinnamon roll bread is the perfect alternative to make when I am in a rush and don’t have time for the yeast to rise in a traditional cinnamon roll recipe. It takes only ten minutes to make and one hour to bake. Who doesn’t love an easy and delicious bread recipe to make? Oh and I almost forgot…your house will smell absolutely divine when it’s baking!
How to make cinnamon roll bread
This recipe is the easiest. In under 10 minutes, you will have all of your ingredients combined and ready to pop in the oven!
- Combine batter ingredients.
- Combine cinnamon swirl ingredients.
- Put half of batter into loaf pan; put half of cinnamon mix on top.
- Swirl.
- Add remaining batter and top with remaining cinnamon mix.
- Swirl.
- Bake and enjoy!
Making the cinnamon swirl
When you are ready to make the swirl in your bread, I like to use a wooden skewer or butter knife. I will move the utensil through the batter as if I am writing the number “8” and I will do small “8s” and large “8s” until the cinnamon swirls are starting to form throughout the batter.
Why I love cinnamon roll bread
- It does not use yeast, so the baking time is quick
- All ingredients are staple kitchen ingredients- no need to make a quick run to the grocery store for any uncommon ingredients
- Tastes like a lighter version of a cinnamon roll
- Quick to make and bake!
Alternatives to loaf
Muffins
- If you want to make muffins, you can divide the batter up into the muffin tins. Bake for about 12-14 minutes. Use a toothpick to insert around the 12 minute mark and if it doesn’t come out clean, leave it in for a few extra minutes until it comes out clean.
My favorite baking essentials
Stoneware loaf pan
My loaf pan is my go-to when making bread loaves. I can always trust it to never burn my bread since it evenly distributes the heat. The stone is nonporous so it doesn’t retain any odor, flavors, oils, or grease. This is a game changer when baking!
If you want want to make muffins instead of a loaf, I love my nonstick silicone muffin pan. This one is BPA free and food grade. It also is conveniently dishwasher safe.
